Girlhood
Marija Timofejeva's and Grieta Bramane's Duo Exhibition

The series of paintings was created because of our passionate desire to unravel the mystery of "what it means to be a woman." At the age of eighteen, it became clear to us, that soon our journey from girlhood to womanhood will reach it’s final stretch. 

The exhibition reveals fragments of our shared memories and a vibrant spectrum of emotions about friendship, the search for identity, growth, intimate moments, experiences, and vulnerability… All of this – through a feminine lens, creating a deeply personal yet universal reflection of experiences.

The goal of the exhibition is to nurture that special bond that exists between all of us.
