This portfolio presents a selection of recent works by Marija Timofejeva. Working in both watercolour and oil, Marija uses the transparency of paint and gentle mark-making to explore vulnerability. The wet-on-wet watercolour technique requires presence and responsiveness, allowing moments of unconscious openness to emerge through the painting process. Drawing inspiration from her own experiences and the stories of women around her, she explores themes of intimacy and emotional connection from a woman's perspective. Her works unfold as quiet, immersive spaces that reveal subtle and deeply personal experiences.
