Her Point of View

Through oil and watercolor painting, Marija Timofejeva explores anxiety in a woman's life. Anxiety related to her body, the changes it undergoes, and the emotional background that accompanies these changes. Questions like “Why do my breasts hurt?”, “Why am I getting so fat?”, “Am I pregnant?”, “Will my period start soon?” and “Why am I not getting my period?” are very real everyday questions that women are taught to keep hidden.

 

The goal of the exhibition is to provide an opportunity to find comfort and support for these anxieties through art and to understand that you are never alone. It is also a chance for those who haven’t experienced these struggles to step into a woman’s reality – ‘Her Point of View’.
